Thanks for stopping by The Eagle’s Nest and being interested
enough to see who I am and what this blog is about.
I’m Amanda (aka Mandi), wife to Greg since
2004, SAH mommy to little C since 2009.
I’m blessed to be a daughter of the King and imagine myself
one of the queens of Narnia. I love all
things music and have played the piano since I was nine.
I love, love, love to read and am always looking for a good
novel to lose myself in – I am one of those people that misses the characters
when I finish a book. I go through
phases of enjoying fiction and not enjoying fiction. Currently I am enjoying a mixture of both.
I love order and organization and cleanliness. (Translated – I. don’t. camp.) I know when things in my home have been moved
and I am quick to correct them. My daughter
is learning these tendencies and has her own ideas about how things should be
placed… lessons in grace.
We live in the south in a 1960’s brick ranch home in a
suburban neighborhood. We have one dog,
Lucy. We did some major cosmetic work to
our house when we first moved in, April
2007, and continue to make improvements as time and money allow.
I adore the beach.
Enough said.
I love a good cup of coffee…and I love to have a little
coffee with my {flavored} creamer. I
have to exercise great self-control to keep myself away from Starbucks during the
months of October through December.
(Pumpkin Spice, Peppermint Mocha….ohhhhhhh stop!)
Pinterest has changed my life y’all.
So that’s a short bit about me…and The Eagle’s Nest is the
result of 2 or 3 blogs since becoming a married woman and wanting to have an
outlet for creative writing, sharing photography, keeping in touch with family
and friends, and seeking to be an encouragement to other women (and men too, I
suppose, but primarily women). I blog
about what we’re doing, where we’re going, our great city, what I’m cooking, my
latest pinterest projects, spiritual struggles and encouragements, girlie stuff
(think nail polish), holidays, homemaking, miscarriage, photography, and
occasionally post videos for the grandparents.
