If you walked into my house right now, you would find me sitting at the kitchen counter writing this blog post and sipping on my water (2 bottles down, 3 to go)...sitting here, with: the dishwasher full of clean dishes ready to be put away, a sink full of dirty dishes, a basket of clean laundry waiting to be folded, an exercise video waiting to be worked, a house needing straightening, yard work to be completed, prayer updates for the bulletin to be e-mailed, and the list goes on. And, on any other day (in any other month!), I would attend to those things and if there was time, blogging would happen at night before I fall into bed. But not today, not in the month of May...in May, we cast all sense and priorities aside and by George! we BLOG! Yes, it's true, I am using (precious) nap-time to post a picture of my lunch. (Sorry, mom....)
Santa Fe Salad
This year finds me being intentional and very conscious of what I'm eating and what I'm doing to "burn off" what I'm eating. I have another post on that -- half written, half still formulating in my head... maybe in June? 4 full months into the year, and I'm surprised to find that what "they" say is true -- tastes do in fact change when you start eating good things. I crave fruit, vegetables, and protein...which is good, 'cause that's mostly what I'm eating these days. :)
Grow in Grace
"I pray that my children may grow in the grace and knowledge of
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."
2 Peter 3:18
Each day in the month of May, I hope to post a photo as well as a Biblical Virtue that we can pray for our children. Join me, if you'd like, by leaving a link to your blog post in the comments.
