I had some birthday money, a gift card, and a SWEET COUPON all burning a tremendous hole in the pocket of my {old and needing to be replaced} jeans, so we headed ourselves over to Old Navy, pronto.
I walked out of there with over $100 worth of clothes {and TWO balloons!!} without paying a penny! And, they did not call the cops -- it was totally legit. I was more than a little excited, y'all.
SO....naturally I headed across the street for some celebratory drinks...
Yes, wild and crazy I am...that is me. What you can't see from this picture is that the drink on the left {mine} has a double shot of espresso....that explains a lot about this post, doesn't it?!?
A very big thank you to those that made this shopping trip possible {I hope they read my blog...}, because without it, I wouldn't have had anything to post for today. And, I wouldn't have all of these lovelies...
See those jeans there on the left...notice anything?!? Um...yeah...so they're skinny jeans. This is a new step for me... OH, and um...not only are they skinny jeans....they are SUPER SKINNY jeans...says so on the label.... {which also happens to say "rockstar" but......} I'm pretty sure I've never, ever, ever bought any clothing my entire life that had the word "skinny" on the label. EVER. But...I was pleasantly surprised. Especially when I put the flared jeans on after I tried these...yikes. My fashion adviser approves them...and no, I'm not talking about my daughter...although she does approve them too...{the verdict is still out on the husband...with his opinion on the jeans that is...not about whether the daughter approves of the husband...} Speaking of the daughter...you should have heard her oohing and aahing over this beauty...
It's definitely OUR favorite. Shiny and sparkly is the way to get our attention, yo. It would also seem that I have a bit of an addiction to tanks...
I really can't seem to get enough of them because they are so versatile. These polka-dot ones are just so dainty, and my daughter went nuts over the yellow one -- what can I say?!? She follows ME around all day!
This cotton {denim looking} peasant-style top (that description is NOT approved by my fashion advisor) is a new style for me, but thanks to pinterest, I'm liking it with the skinny jeans OR with some black leggings. NOW, if Santa will bring me some riding boots (haha!), I'll be set...because the cowboy boots just weren't quite the look I was going for.
So...there ya have it folks...yes, I'm a stay-at-home-mom and yes, I just blogged about a small shopping trip to Old Navy. What's it to ya? :-)
PS -- Tomorrow, I promise not to drink {as much} caffeine, and not to narrate my pictures for the assignment.

Congrats on all the fun finds! I got some skinny jeans right after Eleanor was born and I was surprised by how flattering they were, despite my non-skinny state. My husband ended up preferring good ol' boot cut jeans on me, but he mostly cares about me feeling good in my clothes (and modesty of course) :) so they show up once a week or so. They are really great with flowing or blousy tops. Enjoy!!
