I saw a photo journal of a day on another blog recently and I thought it was a great idea, so I am shamelessly copying it. Okay, yes...it IS an easy excuse for a blog post. That's the best I've got right now. So, join us for a "normal" day around here... these were taken on 4/4/12.

March...
Hey you....remember me?!? I'm back and I'm going to try to keep up with posting for April...hahaha...famous last words, right? In an effort to re-cap March, here's a heavy picture post for you... describing March would take forever since we had LOTS of family in town for visits, went out of town once ourselves, and had a missions conference at church...just to name a few things!

the beginning of the month found us taking cover in the basement of our church and wondering if we might see another tornado in our area. there were tornadoes nearby, but thankfully none too close.
(for now, 5 strawberry plants, a 15' row of lettuce and one of spinach)
Here's hoping there are LOTS more posts in April and just as many or more pictures! Thanks for not giving up on me! :-)

Of Priorities....
Seems like I've used this title before...during a similar season of life... deja vu, perhaps?
These seasons...they come and go...and sometimes, blogging is just part of the natural flow...and at other times, it would be taking drastic measures to actually get something posted....something like writing a post after midnight when one has to be somewhere at 8:00 a.m. the next morning... ahem.
Y'all.
I have a month's worth of blog posts...not written. I have a calendar page with a topic/post for EACH DAY, but they are all in my head...the travel time to my fingers just can't be found right now.
Spring has sprung here in the South, and we are enjoying a taste of Summer -- quite literally as it was 89 degrees yesterday. When the weather is nice like this, we can't contain ourselves indoors, so we go out...and we garden (hooray for strawberry plants, spinach, lettuce, broccoli, basil, parsley, mint and flowers!), and we mow grass (and discover a nest with 3 baby bunnies!), and we play in the sand, and we draw with chalk, and we go to the park... My husband went on a business trip earlier this week, and we took advantage of the opportunity to stay in a fabulous hotel and sit by the pool for a day. Of the 5 weekends in March, we have family here at the "B&B" for three of them, a missions conference at church this weekend, and I can't even remember what we did the first weekend. April looks to be just as busy.
So...I drink coffee, try to savor every possible moment I can as she continues to grow faster and faster, drink more coffee, bask in the spring sun and her delight at being outside, drink a little bit more coffee, and try to keep up with it all, knowing that this...all of this...are gifts...to be enjoyed.
